How to Commission a Custom Pet Portrait

Look through my gallery for examples of past work, and when you're ready to order use the Shop Portraits link to find standard sizes and prices to choose from. If you would like a size not shown in my shop, please contact me and I can put together a custom quote.

Once you've purchased your listing please choose a clear and detailed photo for me to work from. Dark, blurry or small pictures make it hard for me to do my job well and you won't be as satisfied with the outcome. Generally speaking, photos taken on the iPhone or other smartphones work perfectly.

Next, email the photo to I'll shoot you an email back with some mock up compositions to choose from, or let you know if I need another photo to work from.

After we choose a composition I'll get started on your painting and email you an update when it is about 75% painted in . At that time you will have the opportunity to request small changes and choose a background color for your portrait. If you aren't sure what color you would like, I can photoshop some options in to help you decide.

Once the painting is finished it will be packaged and shipped in a protective plastic sleeve, which I recommend leaving on until it's time to frame your artwork. You can read about some framing tips here.

All works will be signed and dated on the back. Gift wrapping and/or a card with a personalized message is available upon request for no extra charge, just leave me a note at check out to let me know if you would like this service.
