"Animals with Problems" is a collaborative series created with Simon Nagel ( simonnagelwrites.com ) showcasing a variety of animals facing issues unique to them: be it emotional, social, or physical (but always just a bit of fun.)
Clarence has sensitive allergies. Everything seems to make him cough or sneeze, and it’s getting in the way of his social life. Clarence sneezed off his spots at the last party he attended and had never been more embarrassed in his life.
Richard can never arrive on time. No matter how early he leaves, he always runs out of steam along the way. Richard’s lateness is starting to impact his relationships with friends and family, but he’s doing the best he can.
Portia's been trying to help Jim get his sweet tooth under control. Portia caws at Jim whenever he goes for a donut instead of foraging along the river bed. Jim is getting tired of Portia's squawking and thinks the real reason she nags him is so she can enjoy all the sweets for herself.
Sasha always thinks something is wrong with her. Whether she has a kink in her tail or scrape on her paw, her imagination always makes her think the worst thing has happened. One time Sasha sneezed so hard that she thought her spots flew off, and now she’s worried about losing them.
Cassius doesn’t know how to take it slow. He’s always in a whirlwind of a hurry, bounding from one appointment to the next without giving himself time to rest. Cassius insisted on going so fast one time that his speed tore his spots off and he ran around as naked as the day was long.
Susie can’t go anywhere without someone staring at her white fur. The other tigers treat her like a social outcast because she doesn’t look like them. Susie hopes a dab of orange will help her fit in, even though her fur looks much better left alone.
